The name behind the work

“The dogs were gone by the time I was five. My dad was gone by the time I was seven. And somewhere in elementary school, the kids started calling me Collie anyway.”

Art by Collie is named for a nickname, a dog named Rowdy, a father who built things with whatever was in reach, and a great-grandmother whose name traveled four generations to end up on a metal art studio in the Arizona desert.
